Where
we Began
The roots of this
well-established veterinary practice can be traced back to1947, when
vet Mr Naylor-Hayes, began treating animals at North Lodge in Kingston
Road. After many years in practice, he retired in 1977, selling the
surgery to Mr W A MacRae, who three years later, sold it to Mr Adrian
O'Meara.
Since 1980 the practice has grown rapidly. Initially a single-handed
practice, it expanded its veterinary staff to two in July 1984, and
opened a branch surgery at Hook Road, Chessington. The following year
Adrian O'Meara added a third practice at Tattenham Crescent, Epsom Downs.
October 1995 saw a purpose built veterinary surgery, open its doors
to pet owners in the High Street, Banstead. This remained part of the
O'Meara group until December 2003, when it was sold to Banstead Village
Veterinary Surgery.
Today sees O'Meara Veterinary Surgeries with three busy branches. Our
team of staff comprising of our practice principal, four full-time vets,
one part-time surgeon and sixteen support staff are dedicated to the
care and well-being of the animal community.
